Hertfordshire County Council have begun public consultation on proposed cycling and walking improvement schemes across Hertfordshire.
There are eight schemes in six towns, one of which is in Buntingford. The County Council are proposing a new shared use facility, and new and improved crossing points for people walking and cycling along Station Road/London Road in Buntingford, with lower speed limits in place.
This scheme forms part of the County Council’s Active Travel Fund programme which secured £6.4 million in funding from the Government.
Commenting, North East Hertfordshire MP Sir Oliver Heald said: “This is a very important consultation regarding the future of greener transport. I urge everyone to participate and make their views heard.”
